Almost Friday- Week in Review for Duncan

Duncan is my second grader.

Memory Work
Tell me about adding and subtracting decimals.
We line up decimal numbers for addition and subtraction by lining up the decimal points.

What is an adverb?
An adverb modifies a verb. (There is a teacher’s note in Grammar Island that explains that adverbs also modify adjectives and other adverbs, but for right now we will focus on modifying verbs. I read this to Duncan, but did not include the info on the back of his index card.)

List the layers of the Earth.
Inner Core, Outer Core, Mantle, Crust

Name 4 important kings of ancient Persia.

Well, this is all we accomplished. I cancelled violin this week and we didn’t do art or Farsi. In my defense we are trying to pack up my oldest to get him out the door to college this weekend. Yay, Christian!
